Luke Walton as Lakers Head Coach

Once a player for the Lakers, Luke Walton is leaving the Golden State Warriors to become the new Lakers head coach. We’ve had a lot of former players as head coaches over the years so it will be interesting to see what he brings to the table.

Hopefully he will be able to re-invigorate the team and bring us some wins so Los Angeles can get back into the spotlight.

Could it be the Cubs time to shine?

I may not live in Chicago, but quite a few eyes are being turned by the incredible start to the 2016 season the Cubs are having. It’s been over a century since the cubs last won a World Series and they seem out to get it this year.

The cubs are currently scoring the most runs and allowing the least, skyrocketing them to the top of the charts. Only time will tell if they can continue to dominate, but watch out – 2016 could very well be the Cub’s year.

73 Wins – New NBA Record

The Michael Jordan era Bulls were an amazing team and nobody thought anyone could ever outpace them or break their records, yet the Golden State Warriors just did it.

Going 73-9 for the regular season, the warriors edged out the old 72 win record from the ’95-’96 Bulls. They may have made history, but they still have the playoffs and more ahead of them and another championship to win before it will be truly remembered as a great year and great run.

Thank You Vin Scully

Dodgers fans everywhere owe a big thanks to Vin Scully for the decades of announcing he’s done for dodger games over the years – all 67 of them. He has been a mainstay for the Dodgers franchise for as long as I can remember and it will probably sound strange to not here his voice when listening to the announcers for dodgers games in the future.

From everyone in LA, thank you for all the time you’ve put in Vin Scully.

NFL Draft Fast Approaching

The 2016 NFL draft is fast approaching and it’s nearly time to see our favorite teams pick up hot new prospects for the new season. Hopefully we will see some great new talent to spice up the game and give us an interesting 2016 season. Good luck to the players being chosen, the teams getting who they want, and the fans being happy about your favorite team’s selections!

MLB Games Streamed on Yahoo

The 2016 season marks a turning point for baseball fans everywhere. Yahoo has announced that they will be streaming one baseball game per day throughout the 2016 season and we can watch online, free of charge! Broadcasting rights for baseball have generally be strictly regulated, so this step is a big one when it comes to fans being able to see their favorite teams play.

2016 Basketball Hall of Fame

Shaquille O’Neal is being joined by Allen Iverson and Yao Ming in the Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the 2016 inductees. It’s great to see their talent and influence on the game being recognized in a big way. As a home town favorite it was especially exciting to see Shaq get inducted in, even if we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later.

The Dole Great Race in Agoura Hills

Last weekend I had an amazing opportunity to participate in the Dole Great Race in Agoura Hills. The race was a nice 10k run around the old town section of Agoura Hills.

I many not have ended up in first place, but I did finish in 368 out of 1704 with a time of 00:58:24 so I still did fairly well for myself. I had a lot of fun participating in the race and it was definitely a good workout!

Rams Returning To LA

It will be nice to have the Rams returning to LA and re-invigorating football in the area. Los Angeles was their home for a while and they will surely still have fans from those days awaiting their return. Even the younger generations of football fans in Los Angeles will have something to cheer for with the Ram’s return.
