Shaquille O’Neal is being joined by Allen Iverson and Yao Ming in the Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the 2016 inductees. It’s great to see their talent and influence on the game being recognized in a big way. As a home town favorite it was especially exciting to see Shaq get inducted in, even if we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later.
Last weekend I had an amazing opportunity to participate in the Dole Great Race in Agoura Hills. The race was a nice 10k run around the old town section of Agoura Hills.
I many not have ended up in first place, but I did finish in 368 out of 1704 with a time of 00:58:24 so I still did fairly well for myself. I had a lot of fun participating in the race and it was definitely a good workout!
It will be nice to have the Rams returning to LA and re-invigorating football in the area. Los Angeles was their home for a while and they will surely still have fans from those days awaiting their return. Even the younger generations of football fans in Los Angeles will have something to cheer for with the Ram’s return.
We would love to have an NFL team here. Los Angeles is known for having a loyal and intense fan base. Oddsmakers have bet against a team showing up in Los Angeles for 2016, but they never said anything about 2017. We’re waiting!
The dodgers suffered a devastating loss against the Mets. The thing with a loss, is there is always next year.
L.A. is a town made of movies. It is a place where industry meets creative entertainment. It is a beacon for sports teams with fans around every corner. There just aren’t enough sports movies about local teams.
Lebron said, “Hopefully I was inspiration” to all of the cavaliers fans. There are a couple of things that the sport can take away from Lebron. The biggest is flashy nicknames and pre-game rituals don’t win every game.
The cavs guard has become an inspiration for a new movie about Australian boys coming to America to play the great game of basketball. Sports brands are a fascinating world and it becomes more fascinating when the players become a brand themselves just life Dellavedova is doing. Where’s the L.A. basketball movie!
Dustin Brown beat Rafael Nadal in an amazing victory over the storied tennis player. Brown has had a long journey of thriving hard work. At one point he slept in a camper van for three years to make his dreams come true.
Hard work beats past accolades every time. Truly inspiring!
